Hurricane Weekend

And we're back... at least temporarily. It's been a crazy few days and trust me when I say that Tropical Storm Danny was the least of it.

My daughter's plans to move into her new apartment before she starts college tomorrow suddenly and quite unexpectedly fell through. Having nowhere to go on such short notice I offered her to stay with me in my tiny little apartment and now we are a family of four... One hamster, One Cat, One kid and Moi!

Two days of packing boxes, cleaning and moving furniture has left me with the mother of all migraines. Oh the joys!

Actually I'm lovin' it but I'm sure it won't be for long... she is already hunting for another place.

For now, I am forging paths between boxes and furniture - trying not to stub my toes and trip over the cat...

Back soon :)

You're a good mom. I'm glad Justine has a place to stay for now. Moms are always at the rescue.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hug. :)

Please don't stub your toes.
Please don't get hurt.
You flew over a mountain thingy on a cable thingy recently - this is a piece of cake.
I hope.

And take those migraine pills!
Sandee is right, she has a wonderful mother.

I can tell you from long experience - your kids will never lose their need for the loving arms (and finances, usually) of mother!

I'm with both Sandee and Mimi. You are a fantastic Mom. Plus, if you can survive a zip lining trip, you can survive anything, well, just about anything...:))

Enjoy your child, and we'll be here when you get back...:)))

Annie

We're both living amidst boxes!
I don't think life ever really settles down, does it?
Well, enjoy your little time with Justine. Wish her luck in school for me.
And good luck to you, from head to toe!

I hope Justine finds another apartment, but I know she loves that last little bit of time with you. Tip toe carefully and watch those toes.

Our children always need us.

See you when you return.

I remember those times when I was to enter college and we also had to pack my things to bring to a dormitory. I know your daughter is really thankful to you because I felt that way.. so thankful for my mom. :) I think she also suffered from migraine because of the hassles..
