I was out running errands today when it occurred to me that I should take a drive along the coastline and look for icebergs. Yes it's berg season again!
(Icebergs can be found in the spring and early summer along the shores of Newfoundland and later in the summer on the coast of Labrador.)

Then it dawned on me that I didn't have my camera. Aha! But I did have my camera phone. So off I went... and whaddya know... not an iceberg in sight. Next time I'll do my homework before hunting bergs and I'll make sure to have my camera with me. With any luck I'll find one that doesn't require me climbing up the side of a cliff to take the photos :)
Last years photos were taken on very shaky legs..
I did find this enchanting little place...
There must have been a building here at some point but I have no idea what it was. There is nothing left except the bridge and steps that lead to nowhere... just a grassy field before you hit the ocean.
I love spots like this.
They leave a lot to the imagination...

Wonderful pictures, this year and last. It makes me want to visit Newfoundland.
I'd never heard of "hunting bergs" until now. And the pictures are great even if they are from your camera phone. It looks like a mysterious place full of secrets and stories. Yep. Imagination abounds.
Hunting bergs. Interesting.
Thank you for sharing that.

I've always found stairs that lead nowhere poetic in a way.
Thanks Catalyst... let me know when you're coming!
Mimi - it was a wonderful spot. One I will go back to. As for bergs... we also harvest them. There is a thriving business for iceberg water (the purest water on the planet) not to mention we make Iceberg Vodka!
Bindi - LOL... with lots of determination and fear :)
Jillian - me too. In fact this place itself seemed poetic to me.
Though you didnt get to find any berg but you did find a great place! Nice pix... I've always love those kinda places like the ones you have on the pix and will always imagine tht I'm thr with my bunch of gd frens ^_^
So what does one do if'n you catch a berg?
That almost is equal to our catching lightning bugs or driving through the country just after dark to watch the l bugs light up like the stars.
Thanks for sharing!

Wow, they're really beautiful. I wish we have such places where I live now, but sadly we don't. It's either I don't know where to look or we just don't have it.
Thanks a lot for sharing the pictures though.
