Bloggers for Peace

Carol from My View of "It" has asked me to join her Peace Train and as you can see by the logo on my sidebar, I have.

Here's what Carol has to say:

"It is the start of the New Year. Bush is still in Office, we are still at War. I can no longer sit idly by without letting the World know that I am opposed to War and can only think of one way to spread this message. Won't you join me by placing a badge in the sidebar (or somewhere on your site) to let the world know that we are United against the War and looking for Peace in this the New Year?"

If you're interested in joining the ride, stop by Carol's blog for instructions on how to join. Leave her a comment and she'll add you to the Peace Train link list.

"Now I've been crying lately,
thinking about the world as it is.
Why must we go on hating,
why can't we live in bliss?"

A great idea! It'd be cool to see how much impact it can have. I'm in as soon as I can get there.

The Peace Train is a very nice idea but how will it stop the insurgents from waging war on their own people? The US/UK are the only ones stopping a complete civil bloodbath from taking place in Iraq.

Nice. Good for you for taking a stand. Personally, I am not against the idea of war. I am against the war GW has waged and how he has waged it though.

It was badly carried out, no doubt that, yes.

Hey Beaman,
The intent of the Peace Train is just for a way to express that we are against war...any war. I don;t think that it will impact on the insurgents in Iraq or stop any of the insanity going on there.
I sure would love to see you join.
Peace.
Carol
